WASHINGTON – Hillary Rodham Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign took an unexpected turn Monday morning as she toured the J. Edgar Hoover Building and the DOJ headquarters, taking time to give a long speech in which she lavished praise on “all the tireless and wonderful – and I mean, really spectacular – government workers in law enforcement and prosecution who really go above and beyond to keep us all safe and free” – at which point she coughed and stomped her foot twice – “and we really cannot ever thank them enough.”
“We’re being proactive here,” said Ms. Senator Secretary Clinton to the press assembled after her official remarks. “These folks, especially [Attorney General] Loretta [Lynch] and [FBI Director] Jim [Comey] deserve far more credit for their years of service and dedication to the United States of America than they get.” Clinton then muttered something about how “they might think about taking a f***ing break from talking to that hick with the terrible haircut, Trey whatshisname [Gowdy, R-SC].”
She concluded, “Maybe they could use a change of pace. The last thing we want is burnout. Our campaign is seriously considering giving them all 96-month paid furloughs, starting around January 2017.”
