CORRECTION — April 3, 2026
Ungrammared has never reported on the Raleigh Belt Line Trail. A correction published in this space on April 1, 2026 stated that a previous Ungrammared article had incorrectly identified the Belt Line Trail as “under construction.” No such article exists in our archive. The April 1 correction was itself an error.
We regret both the error and the correction of the error, as well as the fact that the original error cannot be identified, as it did not occur.
We are investigating how a correction to a nonexistent article came to be published. We expect to issue a correction about the investigation at a future date.

An earlier report stated that the Wake County Commissioner described the budget proposal as “fiscally responsible.” The Commissioner used the phrase “fiscally responsible” but was referring to a different proposal. The original proposal was described as “bold.” We regret that we cannot identify which proposal is which at this time.

A profile of Raleigh city council candidate Dana Hollis published March 28 described her as “largely unknown outside the Third District.” Ms. Hollis contacted this publication to inform us that she is also largely unknown inside the Third District. We have updated our characterization accordingly. We regret the overstatement.

Ungrammared reported that the Downtown Raleigh Alliance had “cautiously endorsed” the proposed entertainment district overlay. The Alliance has informed us it issued no such endorsement, cautious or otherwise. We are unable to determine the source of this characterization, as the reporter who filed the story cannot be located. His desk has been cleared. We wish him well.
