RALEIGH – Citizens of Raleigh and the surrounding areas ran back inside after an enormous, orange sphere materialized over the eastern horizon Tuesday morning.
“It’s happened. Wendell is attacking,” said a clearly frightened Mayor Nancy McFarlane at a hastily arranged indoor press conference. “Gather your children and head west.”
While City Councilwoman Kay Crowder was blaming global warming for the strange sky ball’s arrival, Harris Teeter was being emptied by terrified residents of all bread and milk.
